The Adcraft PM Committee coordinates many social and civic events directed toward, but not exclusive to, the young members of the Club and students. These informal networking opportunities for young Adcrafters and students usually take place in the evening after business hours.
The Education Committee coordinates several annual programs and events for Adcraft members as well as college and university students. Education Committee members also serve as judges for the Adcraft Foundation Scholarships, which are awarded each year to deserving advertising and marketing students from Michigan colleges and universities.
MEMBERSHIP AND BENEFITS
This committee is responsible for the recruitment of new Adcrafters. Adcraft is affiliated with the American Advertising Federation (AAF). All Adcrafters are automatically members of the AAF and eligible for their benefits. This committee also works to identify and promote existing and new member benefits.
The Nominating Committee is responsible for developing a list of candidates for the annual Board of Directors election.
The Adcraft Club coordinates regular meetings featuring prominent guest speakers. Many national and international celebrities from business, politics, the military, entertainment, sports, and journalism have appeared on the Adcraft podium. This group has the important job of scheduling those speakers or specific programs.
MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS
This committee carries out an agenda of activities designed to enhance the Club’s image with the general public and within the advertising industry as well as works to recommend enhancements to the Club’s publications to conform to current technological trends and produce compelling information for members.
The Special Events Committee handles several major events on the Club’s calendar, including the Adcrafest golf outing, the April Foolishness silent auction, and the annual Oktoberfest party. These and other Adcraft-sponsored events are designed to foster involvement and camaraderie among the membership.
THE D COUNCIL
This group coordinates The D Show, an annual celebration of Detroit’s creative spirit recognizing the “best of the best” of our work over the past year.
