We're bringing Detroit a unique collection of speakers and guests — each and every Tuesday starting September 15th — who want to talk to us about why they believe awe-inspiring craft is a catalyst for meaningful connections — and vice-versa.

Clinton Yates
ESPN
Columnist/Commentator/Host, The Undefeated
Clinton Yates is a columnist, television commentator and host for ESPN. He joined the company in February 2016 as a member of the editorial team that launched The Undefeated, ESPN’s website focused on the intersections of sports, race and culture. Yates’ profile has grown steadily across the company’s multimedia platforms. In addition to writing, he appears on multiple television programs, ESPN Radio and more. On television, Yates is a panelist on Around the Horn, a regular panelist/host on Outside the Lines, and a frequent contributor and guest host on ESPN’s E:60 newsmagazine. Yates also appears on SportsCenter and ESPN Radio programs. A native and current resident of Washington, D.C., Yates is an alum of Miami (Ohio) University.

Kelley L. Carter
ESPN
Senior Entertainment Writer, The Undefeated
Award-winning entertainment and pop-culture journalist Kelley L. Carter joined ESPN in January 2016 as a senior entertainment writer for The Undefeated. Carter covers film, television, and music for the ESPN platform exploring the intersections of sports, race, and culture. She began hosting The Undefeated digital series “Another Act with Kelley Carter” in March 2020, where she gives viewers direct access to some of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
A native of Detroit, Carter graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. She is one of the leading entertainment journalists in the country and serves as chair of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) Arts and Entertainment Task Force.
