The Detroit ad community represents many diversified industries from financial services to retail to restaurants. Adcraft's newest event series, Focus AD Detroit, will highlight Motown companies and their marketing leadership teams that make our town strong. 

Focus AD Detroit will kick off with the Carhartt marketing leadership team of Janet Ries and Jennifer Sopko on Tuesday, November 9th. Janet and Jennifer will focus on their longstanding relationship with Detroit and talk about talent within their organization, what they are looking to do in 2022 and much more. 

Then join us on Tuesday, December 7th with Ally Financial Chief Marketing and Public Relations Officer, and lifelong Detroiter Andrea Brimmer as she brings colleague, friend and legendary journalist Katie Couric to discuss the latest in Katie's life, including a new book, followed with a discussion on why Ally's presence in Detroit is so critical to their success. 

We'll close out the series with Domino's VP of Media/Digital, Christopher Thomas-Moore, on Tuesday, March 15th.  Christopher will talk to us about the longstanding relationship Domino's has with metro Detroit, a peek at the innovative tech in use, and the talent that makes it all go.

Janet Ries
Vice President of Marketing // Carhartt, Inc.

Janet Ries is the Vice President of Marketing at Carhartt, Inc. In this role, Janet leads the brand's marketing department, including its integrated media, retail marketing, corporate communications, brand activations, and brand planning teams. Janet has served in this role since 2018, and during the past three years, she has overseen several groundbreaking Carhartt brand campaigns, including two of the largest campaigns in company history. Prior to Carhartt, Janet served as a marketing industry leader for more than 20 years at companies like Rockport Shoes, Adidas, and Reebok. 


Jennifer Sopko
Director of Integrated Media //Carhartt, Inc.

Jennifer Sopko, Director of Integrated Media, is responsible for aligning Carhartt's paid, owned and earned media to help maximize brand and media effectiveness. Working closely with Marketing and Sales teams, she works to ensure media plans help build Carhartt's brand relevance and achieve revenue targets. Prior to joining Carhartt, Jenn spent 20 years managing various analytics, data and business consulting teams. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Applied Mathematics from the University of Michigan. 

Natalie Boussi
Manager of Brand Planning // Carhartt, Inc. 

Natalie guides collaboration and execution between brand, creative, media, and business unit teams to deliver the seasonal storytelling opportunities that support the strategy and the needs of the brand and the business. Natalie has been in a variety of roles since joining Carhartt in 2016 and has seen the company grow tremendously. She enjoys mostly being the "connector" of people and ideas, as well as a true champion of the brand and the hardworking Carhartt consumer. Prior to Carhartt, Natalie worked at Campbell Ewald for 9 years as an account manager for clients like Chevy, CDC, University of Michigan Health System, Edward Jones and more.
